SECOND ANNUAL Joint Venture Field of Honor® Coming to Georgetown

Kiwanis Club of Georgetown, partnering with International Paper is once more erecting the Field of Honor® on November 5th to honor our veterans present and past, and create a scholarship fund for children and grandchildren of veterans. This display will be open to the public through the month until the flag Closing Ceremony on December 3rd, Pearl Harbor Day weekend.

We anticipate creating a display of rows upon rows of flags, lit at night and spectacularly flying just west of the Maryville Bridge on Kaminski Street in Georgetown, an honor we will be continuing annually.

The Field of Honor® Posting of Colors is planned for November 6th at 2pm. The Colors will remain on the field through  December 4th at 10:00am when they will be retired with honors to all those veterans celebrated.

Individuals, families, groups or businesses can all sponsor a pole/flag on the field. Everyone is welcome to walk through the flags, read names, listen to and share their stories of those who gave so much and are still serving our nation. Individual flag pole placements are $40 and contributors may claim their flags as keepsakes on December 4th.

We are offering Event Sponsorships for the field this year, starting at $250.  Event sponsors will have on-site signage, Flags on the field and will be listed in our program.  What a wonderful way to promote our military AND supply scholarships for our Georgetown scholars while also promoting your business!

Anyone can go online to https://www.healingfield.org/georgetownsc22 to donate or order their flag placement sponsorship or sign up to be an Event Sponsor.
