SECOND ANNUAL Joint Venture Field of Honor® Coming to Georgetown

Kiwanis Club of Georgetown, partnering with International Paper has once more erected the Field of Honor® as a tribute to our veterans present and past, and create a scholarship funds for children and grandchildren of veterans. This display will be open to the public through the month until the flag Closing Ceremony on December 3rd, at 10am on Pearl Harbor Day weekend.

We anticipate creating a display of rows upon rows of flags, lit at night and spectacularly flying just west of the Maryville Bridge on Kaminski Street in Georgetown, an honor we will be continuing annually. This year, over 300 flags are flying.

Mayor Carol Jayroe was one of the guests who reminded us that many who served to protect us all deserve this special recognition.

Individuals, families, groups or businesses can all sponsor a pole/flag on the field. This effort will continue through upcoming year’s so that we can soon have a field of a thousand Old Glories. Everyone is welcome to walk through the flags, read names, listen to and share their stories of those who gave so much and are still serving our

What a wonderful way to promote our military AND supply scholarships for our Georgetown scholars while also promoting your business!
